psychosocial effects...by Ridzuan

Annyeong haseyo..sori for this simple outline..Basically, psychosocial effects of herpes simplex(herpes infection that affecting your genital) would be more interesting to be discussed. But some of it actually can be applied for shingles too…and I’m still working on it. That is why the title is for herpes related diseases..
Psychosocial effects of herpes-related diseases
Generally…the effects would severely affect those who are not well educated with the knowledge of : 1) herpes virus
2) herpes simplex n herpes zoster..etc
Why these effects occurred..?
In many societies, a stigma is associated with the herpes virus. Particularly, with herpes simplex(HS). This is because the HS virus is associated with sexual intercourse….STD
Therefore, due to the stigma, patient with herpes virus infection might be experiencing
• a depression
• low self-esteem
• feeling guilty
• feeling lonely
• It become worse when herpes is forever…what it means is, once you get it, it remains in your body as shown in shingles. So, people would become afraid of it. This would be very stressful and upsetting.
• Herpes outbreaks would also can be very painful. This kind of pain will surely lead to a lot of other simple problems.
